Separation And Sin
Isaiah 59:1-2 (KJB) Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: 2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
Separation from God is always initiated by mankind, for God does not ever move away from any person. Individuals who disagree with the nature and character of God choose to step aside or run from ... Continue Reading →

Willing To Endure
1 Timothy 4:10 (KJB) For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.
The life of a sincere professing child of God is certainly not ever a bed of roses. Nor is it like taking a leisurely walk in a park. If you had to honestly reveal or describe what it is like in following Christ, you might say that some days are like canvassing ... Continue Reading →

The World Reconciled Unto God
2 Corinthians 5:19 (KJB) To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
The world is reconciled to God through the finished spiritual work of Jesus Christ. Whew… that is a spiritual mouthful in this verse. This doctrine is essential for reconciliation with God in the eternal salvation of every spiritually softened soul.
Another straightforward way to say it- God took all sin, including yours ... Continue Reading →

Nailed to The Cross
Colossians 2:13-14 (KJB) And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; 14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross.
There is such powerful truth in these two verses above. Go ahead, reread these scripture verses, and let this message settle down into the creases ... Continue Reading →

2 Corinthians 4:1-2 (KJB) Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; 2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.
The Apostle Paul is making it clear that his ministry is above the rampant dishonesty at work in this world. His ministry is acceptable and honorable to God, though ... Continue Reading →

Abraham Saw It
John 8:54-56 (KJB) Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God: 55 Yet ye have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying. 56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was ... Do It Your Way
Psalm 81:11-12 (KJB) But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would none of me. 12 So I gave them up unto their own hearts’ lust: and they walked in their own counsels.
These verses, in context, are God speaking about His people. The nation of Israel chose to ignore God, failing to heed His commands or to walk in His direction. Not once, but over and over again, the Jews wished to walk their way in this ... Continue Reading →

Laying Down The Wool
Judges 6:37 (KJB) Behold, I will put a fleece of wool in the floor; and if the dew be on the fleece only, and it be dry upon all the earth beside, then shall I know that thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said.
Gideon was prudent in laying down a fleece of wool onto the natural greenery floor for a testament. Gideon was about to lie down on top of this wool, which he placed on ... Continue Reading →

A Warning About “Some”
1 Timothy 4:1-2 (KJB) Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron.
Even when times seem so dark and wicked, I hope you note this verse says, “some shall depart from the faith…” however, God promised there will always be a remnant who chose not to depart from the truth.
What ... Continue Reading →

Repent, Remission of Sin, and Be Baptized
Acts 2:38 (KJB) Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
There are a lot of doctrinal misconceptions concerning baptism and this verse of scripture, especially when isolated from proper biblical-based context — two things mentioned here in this verse that is vital in receiving God’s gift of life.
The Apostle Peter ... Continue Reading →
