Foolish Galatians Reprimanded

Foolish Galatians Reprimanded

Galatians 3:1 (KJB) O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?

Paul comes straight at obvious spiritual errors of the Galatians armed with the truths of God.  Oh, how foolish they were in trying to keep the law, perhaps even making Paul’s heart skip a beat, as he considered their misplaced confidence in such blatantly incorrect doctrine.

Hadn’t they ...

Life Is Not All About Me, Myself, and I

Life Is Not All About Me, Myself, and I

Philippians 2:20-21 (KJB) For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state. 21 For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ’s.

The Apostle Paul made these remarks in dealing with Roman associates who often resorted to taking care of their own needs and feelings rather than noticing the needs of others about them.  Anotherwards, they placed their individual needs ahead of the collective ...

Abraham Stayed Strong in Faith

Abraham Stayed Strong in Faith

Romans 4:20 (KJB) He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God.

You know the feeling.  You hear something on the news or read something posted on a social media platform, and it sounds too good to be true.  You scrutinize the fine print or strain to hear every detail as you consider the promise at hand.

Why, because promises are broken all the time in ...

All Under His Control

All Under His Control

Matthew 28:18 (KJB) And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

Jesus Christ was getting ready to ascend back to His Father in heaven.  Before leaving this earth, He spoke candidly to His disciples about the perpetual; spiritual victory which had taken place upon the cross at Calvary.  They were probably still a little awestruck at the recent supernatural events which had taken place right ...

From the Line of Benjamin

From the Line of Benjamin

Up Close and Personal with the Apostle Paul

Philippians 3:4-5 (KJB) Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more: 5 Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee.

Indeed, many of you are familiar with the life ...

You can rest in Him.

January 1st 2016

You Can Rest in Him

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6 KJV)

“Trust in the Lord…” Please notice this verse does not say trust in your money, or your position, the prominence of your family, your talent, or in any other thing than placing your trust in the power and strength of God.

The degree of ...

Take Up Your Cross December 31st 2015

You can be assured all God’s promises are true and will come to pass in God’s perfect timing.

He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. (Revelation 22:20 KJV)

The HE in this scripture verse is none other than Jesus Christ.  In this verse Jesus gives His final promise to all mankind “Surely I come quickly…” This is not the first instance recorded about His second coming we can glean the significance ...

Take Up Your Cross December 30th 2015

Are you highly blessed or stressed in this world?

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. (Psalm 1:1-2 KJV)

This Psalm describes the make-up of a godly man as he sojourns in this world.  A godly man does not ...

Take Up Your Cross December 29th 2015

One day in the future God will usher in the new heaven and new earth.

And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their ...
