Jesus Christ Went to Court and Was Judged in Our Place

Romans 8:1 (KJB) There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

A person in this world accused of a crime must have their day in court and allow a lawyer to plead their case before the judge.  If found guilty, he or she will be formally sentenced by the presiding judge for the crime.
