From Poverty to Spiritual Riches
2 Corinthians 8:9 (KJB) For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.
A man in his natural state is a spiritual pauper. Every man born in this world has been given a sentence of physical death. In his lost state, since the sin of Adam, he has no possible way of reaching the ... Continue Reading →

God’s Blessings Are Always Spiritually Rich
Proverbs 10:22 (KJB) The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.
God’s blessings are spiritually prosperous and a godly man always gains many eternal riches. Not only does a man prosper, both in this world and in the eternal realm, but he receives no sorrow from God.
Many people wrongly associate riches with financial gain. While God can and sometimes does bless a man financially, this verse does ... Continue Reading →

Paul’s Advice for The Rich
1 Timothy 6:17-19 (KJB) Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; 18 That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate; 19 Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on ... Spiritually Indigent or Eternally Rich
Psalm 72:2 (KJB) He shall judge thy people with righteousness, and thy poor with judgment.
This scripture verse makes a distinction between two groups of people: Thy people and poor people.
Thy people are God’s people who are spiritually rich. Maybe not rich in worldly wealth, but certainly esteemed and valued cloaked in God’s eternal wealth.
Riches of this world are fleeting and cannot accompany mankind upon his physical death to the eternal realm. The poor people ... Continue Reading →

A Fat Harvest
Psalm 65:11 (KJB) Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness.
David was inspired to record this Psalm for noting the goodness and profitableness of the harvest. The fatness referenced the bountiful produce God divinely provided.
There are some years which can be lean in productivity, due to weather and other factors which are out of the control of mankind.
This year’s yield was fat and profitable.
This Psalm was written about crops but can be ... Continue Reading →

Sometimes Less is Considerably More
Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, than a stalled ox and hatred therewith. (Proverbs 15:17 KJV)
This particular verse found in the book of Proverbs “jumped out” at me one day. I had no familiarity with it nor understood what precept God had inspired the writer about this particular verse. My first thought drifted towards a stalled vehicle rather than having any understanding about a stalled ox.
What is a stalled ox?
I can ... Continue Reading →

Eternal Riches Only Come from God
And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life? And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God. (Mark 10:17-18 KJV)
Jesus had just finished teaching a crowd about the possibility of receiving eternal life. A young man, who appeared to ... Continue Reading →
The Israelite’s were in the middle of the wilderness of the hot and harsh desert; marching out of Egypt and trudging towards the Promised Land. They soon began to realize their journey was not going to be easy or painless. In fact, it seemed to be downright horrible and relentless.
The Israelites began to feel miserable and to murmur and complain against Aaron and Moses because they felt lacked the necessary sustenance needed for their journey. They viewed their ... Continue Reading →
