Are You Living “Beside Yourself” or Beside God?
And as he thus spake for himself, Festus said with a loud voice, Paul, thou art beside thyself; much learning doth make thee mad. (Acts 26:24 KJV)
Festus was claiming that Paul was deranged, or had come unhinged. To Festus, Paul’s actions seemed maddening and he even went a step further to blame his much learning as the root cause of his crazy actions.
