But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. Woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye love the uppermost seats in the synagogues, and greetings in the markets. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are as graves which appear not, and the men that walk over them are not aware of them. (Luke 11:42-44 KJV)
Religious Pharisees assess spiritual health from an exterior viewpoint measuring according to the law.
Jesus already came to fulfill the Old Testament law bringing grace and mercy. God’s viewpoint is upon the inner spiritual condition of mankind. He places value on internal condition of the heart rather than placing weight on external characteristics and circumstances. Only God can see the true spiritual health of man looking from inside out. Mankind likes to assess a spiritual value to others judging from an outer view point taking into consideration a man’s outward action and choices but God asses the inner quality of man’s heart which offers a true spiritual temperature of his heart condition.
Man places value or importance on outer qualities, circumstances and morally keeping the law. These elements register across his natural radar and are evaluated through his eye gate and ear gate; employing his natural judgment. Often mankind esteems the flashy or showy items of the world to be of great value without considering material things and possessions have no eternal significance or value when viewed through the lens of God. Anything holding worldly value and weight in this world is of no eternal value and combustible upon this earth.
