Are you paralyzed by fear?
And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do? And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha. (2 Kings 6:15-17 KJV)
Fear not Christian God has you covered!
Elisha rose up early in the morning and looked around the edges of the city and saw that they were surrounded by a large company of men on horses and chariots. This panicked Elisha who could not see how they could escape what appeared to be such a lopsided battle.
But God’s completed Bible says:
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. (1 John 4:4 KJV)
When Elisha prayed to God “LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see…” The Lord did open his eyes the servant did see the horses and chariots surrounding Elisha.
Sometimes it is all about our perspective of the situation at hand. From our limited vision upon this earth some of our battles seem large, looming, and foreboding. When we look at our situation from God’s perfect viewpoint we can see His hand in the battle and the final victory in hand.
