God is compassionate having no racial barriers or hatred.
For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy. (Romans 9:15-16 KJV)
It is God who is in charge and runs the show. God is not swayed by man’s earthly terms, conditions or faulty thinking patterns. God’s will is never affected by anything man might do or say. God can and will interrupt the best laid plans of any man, affecting the outcome of a circumstance, as He deems necessary bringing about His will in any situation.
God chooses to have mercy and compassion upon mankind according to His perfect viewpoint from His throne in the heavenly realm. Often man’s limited earthly vision cannot fathom the extent of God’s rich love and compassion showered upon everyone, even those who may seem like undeserving individuals through the imperfect human eyes of mankind.
God displayed His unconditional love, even to lowly Gentiles, and this had many Jewish people in an uproar. They began fretting and questioning Paul and it is their outrage that is the context behind the above verse of scripture. Paul quoted scripture from the book of Romans which was originally recorded in the Old Testament book of Exodus to answer their outrage clearly pointing out what was obvious racial hatred and warped thinking not God thinking.
God was not partial by loving only the Jewish people, but loved mankind, Jew and Gentile alike, with great mercy and compassion according to His will and way. This sparked outrage in the hearts of the Jewish people towards the Gentiles believers.
