Take Up Your Cross December 1st 2014

Your “spiritual scent” permeates the air about you.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. (Romans 1:16 KJV)

Ashamed means to be embarrassed or self- conscious about a person, situation, or issue about you instead of being focused upon Him or “Christ conscious.”

Mankind’s best focus is to zoom in on Him. God’s opinion is the only one that counts for eternity.  There are some who are unabashedly ashamed of the gospel of Christ and do not consider any mention or discussion which concerns God’s Word to be productive or fashionable in any way.  Those who cannot fathom anything worthy about God choose to suppress or discard His truth as not important; listening instead to to the god of this world who whispers sweet sounding tidbits of worldly logic and philosophy in the ears of those who are open and receptive to listening to his rhetoric.

Individuals who are lead to boldly profess a personal relationship with God cannot contain within themselves the wonderful message concerning God and His Son Jesus Christ.  This unconditional love story just oozes out by manner of speaking and is illustrated through actions towards God and others.  Those who are bold about delivering God’s Truth and His unconditional love, do not sound like clanking symbols but have twinkling ornaments of grace and spiritual fruit decorating their life pointing upwards to glorify God.

People fall in one of two camps concerning the Truth of the gospel message of Christ.  Persons will line up according to God’s will wearing the sweet smelling perfume of His mercy and grace about them; or they are entrenched in the second camp with a rebellious and remarkable flagrant odor about them as they disregard the Truth; considering it to be nonsense and foolishness not applicable to their life.
