Dwell upon the love of God.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16 KJV)
As we enter into the eve of celebrating the earthly virgin birth of Jesus Christ we should take time to dwell upon the love of God the Father. Without the love of God for us His Son Jesus Christ would not have had a reason or opportunity to be physically born in the flesh upon this earth. Jesus came to this earth to fulfill the will of God His Father.
God providentially sent His Son Jesus Christ to be born on this earth in the flesh for mankind. Yes, for us. His birth on this earth brought about the opportunity for Jesus to take our sin upon Himself shedding His precious blood for the debt and accounting of all sin.
While we should certainly rejoice about the baby Jesus who was supernaturally conceived and physically born upon this earth, we also recognize Jesus is no longer the baby lying in the cradle, He is set down at the right hand of God in the heavenly realm.
Jesus Christ finished the work God had for Him on this earth, Hebrews 12:1-2, and is now in the heavenly realm with God having paved the way for all mankind to come to Him through faith for all eternity.
