Are you a spiritual giant in God’s strength?
David said moreover, The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the LORD be with thee. (1 Samuel 17:37 KJV)
What do you do when you have a giant facing off against you? If we are being honest most people hastily choose turn and run away from any impending danger of a large magnitude. It is often easier to run away from dangerous situations forgoing any chance of meeting potential threats head on.
David did not runaway. Daniel did not runaway. Esther did not run away. Stephen did not run away. Paul did not run away. These biblical characters stood their ground upon the firm shoulders of God in the midst of being surrounded in harrowing situations which were brimming with danger and peril.
David knew firsthand that God had given him a huge victory over the roaring lion and the hungry bear. David was confident that God would have His mighty hand in the middle of the arena as David squared off against the towering Philistine giant.
We too can be like David using previous spiritual victories as stepping stones to conquering new feats and accomplishing new tasks as God brings about opportunities in our life. We can choose to march ahead in full confidence in God’s supernatural ability as He brings us to areas of danger allowing growth through the heat of a refining fire and any necessary spiritual testing.
Do you allow God to mature you spiritually in perilous situations you may face? Or do you choose to run away from any impending danger lurking on the spiritual pathway in front of you? God enriches and grows his spiritual family as they learn to trust upon His great goodness and mercy.
