You can be assured all God’s promises are true and will come to pass in God’s perfect timing.
He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. (Revelation 22:20 KJV)
The HE in this scripture verse is none other than Jesus Christ. In this verse Jesus gives His final promise to all mankind “Surely I come quickly…” This is not the first instance recorded about His second coming we can glean the significance of it as He drives home this final reminder for us one last time. Anything God has inspired to be mentioned more than once in scripture are of great importance for man and reiterated for us to sit up and pay attention to capturing the significance God has placed upon it.
Yes, it is true Jesus is coming back soon. Man can take the entire cannon of God’s Word as truth, knowing all things recorded in the Bible are God breathed and literal spiritual treasures and events slated to take place according to the will and way of God.
All prophecy recorded in the Bible has or will come to pass according to God’s perfect timetable, including this significant spiritual message about His certain return to this earth. For the saved individual the thought of Jesus Christ’s return to this earth is an expected and eagerly awaited occasion. For those who are dead in their sin not entered into a relationship with God through faith the return of Jesus Christ does not provoke joy and anticipation but brings heightened fear and anxiety.
