Are you celebrating true love in God; or in the pagan beliefs of this world?
But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: (Ephesians 4:15 KJV)
Today the world celebrates Valentine’s Day and what mankind considers from their imperfect vantage point from this world to be a celebration of true love. True love is not a feeling or emotion; it is not according to looks or actions. True love is not a relationship.
True love is God; God is love. One can only find true love centered in the things of God; not immersing themselves into the things of man or caught up in the lies of the god of this world.
The Bible has much to say about love including:
And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. (1 John 4:16 KJV)
He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. (1 John 4:8 KJV)
True love comes into our lives and flows out from us in all aspects of our life from knowing the God of true love through a personal relationship with Him. His love is the only love that is unconditional and true and is the basis for all relationships.
His love is a manner or characteristic which flavors and colors the life of those who reside in His spiritual family having His presence dwelling inside their heart. His love is not fleeting or blown away by conditions or circumstances that come into our lives but His love is available now and abides in us for all eternity.
