Take Up Your Cross January 12th 2015

Do you have a healthy spiritual dose of God’s strength and abilities dwelling within you as you sojourn upon this earth?

Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: For our God is a consuming fire. (Hebrews 12:28-29 KJV)

“A kingdom which cannot be moved…” This speaks of a kingdom that is thoroughly established or entrenched; not blown over by errant winds and passing storms of this world.  God’s kingdom has always been in existence since the beginning of time and being an eternal kingdom will always exist until the end of time.  The devil’s earthly throne is fleeting and will be defeated soundly bringing his end upon this earth as God’s heavenly kingdom will stand forever.

We cannot live for God in this world upon our own strength and abilities.  It is all of God’s grace and power that we can serve Him according to His will and way; having nothing at all to do with our own doing or strength.

This verse says:  “let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear…”

We serve God through underserved grace He has freely gives unto us.  This allows all who profess a personal relationship with Him to serve Him will all due reverence and with a spiritually healthy dose of godly fear.  Knowing that God is who He says He is and will bring to pass all that He has promised in His Word according to His will and way.

A spiritual prescription of godly strength and fear from God’s heavenly pharmacy dwelling within propels mankind forward as they sojourn upon the narrow pathway upon this earth.  Looking with great earnest for the day of Jesus’s return for His saints in the clouds above this earth; or the day, according to God’s perfect timing, of our physical death and we cross the threshold in to the heavenly realm to an eternity spent with God.
