Are you a “rebel rouser” rather than a servant of God?
If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself. (1 Timothy 6:3-5 KJV)
Putting on the attitude of Christlikeness always calls for His true disciples to have a servant’s heart. It is never about placing one’s self above others. Especially pivoting ourselves above those God has placed in godly authority or leadership over us according to His will for our life.
Many today in this world rise up against all authority rousing the crowd against any powers serving over them; even among professing brethren. Pride taking root in their heart and mind rule their outward actions and attitude causing division, strife, and contention among men. These types of rebellious actions should be expected from those who follow after the god of this world but not from men who profess to follow God.
Those who serve God are compelled to produce fruits of righteousness bridging the gap between God and man through love, truth, rightly serving in the spirit of His Word by appropriately applying the sword of Truth and having respect for holy authority God has placed over his life.
God says to separate from anyone who professes to be a part of God’s spiritual family yet serves to purposely to divide and conquer His saints. Nothing of eternal value can be gained among brethren through implementing division and strife.
