Do you exhort yourself or the goodness of God?
Most men will proclaim every one his own goodness: but a faithful man who can find? (Proverbs 20:6 KJV)
Many people are willing to fill your ears with how good they are, or what good things they have accomplished. Talk is cheap and words of man fade away fast spoken without having the supernatural power of God becoming void and meaningless. Words often fall from loose lips without any spiritual essence or meaning from within the heart.
A faithful man of Christ who will rightly proclaim God’s goodness alone while denouncing his own goodness in light of the holiness of God. Men who bestow the goodness, grace, and mercy of God through His Son Jesus Christ are few and far between.
Many today are building themselves up with a heightened value of self-having little or no value assigned to the things of God.
Those who do sincerely place faith in the things of God understand He has an immense eternal spiritual value far beyond our own understanding, while man in and of himself, is without worth in light of the eternal realm.
