Do you believe in all you hear and see in this world?
The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going. (Proverbs 14:15 KJV)
It has been said many times and many ways that a fool believes everything he hears. Those who are discerning or sensitive to what they hear and read test it and break it down according to truth; not the truth according to the world but the Truth of God’s Word.
Gullible people are taken in foolish ways or find buried in belief systems of this world because they failed to test or consider exactly what had been said or taught to them. If you leave the door of your house wide open in a contrary wind it is safe to assume anything that this blown about in the wind could come barreling in your house through your open front door.
Your mind and heart operate upon the same principal. If you leave them open and unarmed unbiblical teachings and precepts can flow inwardly filling your mind and heart up with thoughts and teaching that is not biblical.
God gives us spiritual armor specifically mentioned and directed towards the many vulnerable parts of our body as detailed in Ephesians chapter six to protect ourselves for the many assaults directed towards our heart and soul. Helping us to spiritually discern and test all things that come our way as we sojourn upon this earth to know for sure if it has come from God or the god of this world. God’s Word always proves itself true.
Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. (1 John 4:1 KJV)
