Do you know what time it is?
See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. (Ephesians 5:15-17 KJV)
Those who profess a personal relationship with God are encouraged to walk upright redeeming the time God has given them carefully. Man is to be a good steward of all that God has given him, including time, which once used cannot be recovered or redeemed for pursuing God’s will ever again.
The times we live in are full of evil and wickedness. Satan is so crafty at deploying evil and tripping up even those who should be living as seasoned Christians. Often man becomes rather comfortable and careless, living spiritually lazy practically day, wasting precious time on fruitless things.
God inspired Paul to write this letter reminding professing Christians to walk wisely. Exhorting them to be sure of what God’s will is for their life and to walk upright and blameless and pleasing to God. Rather than straying away foolishly from the narrow pathway God has carefully laid out for them.
