Jesus was with God in the beginning and alive for all eternity.
Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. (John 8:58 KJV)
Some people may think that Jesus Christ’s physical birth was His first appearance upon this earth. That is far from the Truth of God’s Word. This scripture verse is written in the present tense clearly stating a continual presence “Before Abraham was, I am…” Before Abraham was is way back to the beginning of time upon this earth. The truth of God is Jesus was present at the beginning with God as He created the earth making everything, including man, in it.
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. (Genesis 1:26 KJV)
“And God said, Let us make man in our image…” Many scripture verses clearly teach the truth of His existence (plural: Father and Son) since the beginning of time including:
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1:1 KJV)
And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. (Colossians 1:17 KJV)
The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old. I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was. (Proverbs 8:22-23 KJV)
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. (Revelation 1:8 KJV)
The Bible is consistent from Genesis to Revelation about God’s triune existence without end for all eternity. The Bible is also consistent about our existence; yours and mine. We were created in the flesh by God to exist in three distinct parts. Physical birth, in the image of Adam, consists of body, soul, and a dead spirit (because of sin.) Your physical body will die and your spirit and soul will exist for all eternity; either in fellowship with God being quickened alive while upon this earth; or remaining spiritually dead and without the presence of God living inside burning in the fires of Hell forever.
