Take Up Your Cross September 17th 2015

Do you often make quick unreasonable conclusions based on faulty premises?

Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man. And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me. It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true. (John 8:15-17 KJV)

Jesus is speaking to a group of Pharisees in His midst.  Pharisees were known for their quick judgment rendering to their flesh and looking upon others according to their outer appearance and circumstances which surround them.  This is forming a judgment using fallible human reasoning rather than upon the perfect merit of God who is in agreement with the Spirit according to the Truth of His Word.

God is a triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and therefore not one person passing judgment but rather it is a strong cord of three, three persons in one.  This strong triune cord fits the purpose of God’s law with two or more witnesses coming together in testimony of the truth.  God is perfectly tuned into the law.

God’s Word says there is a righteous judgment:

Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment. (John 7:24 KJV)

takeupyourcrossredocmclearWhat basis do you utilize in forming your estimation of another God’s Word based on Truth and Spirit, or based upon man’s fallible reasoning?
