Take Up Your Cross September 18th 2015

Many are desperate and spiritually dead in this world.

And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones. (Mark 5:5 KJV)

This man was helpless and hopeless.  He was existing among tombs in a graveyard having nothing in his life to look forward to beyond these dark and desperate circumstances.  This man was possessed by demon spirits and filled to overflowing with evil and wickedness.  Demons do possess supernatural power, as God does, but with limited strength always less formidable than the unlimited supernatural strength and power of God.

This particular man was emotionally, spiritually, and mentally without restraint, having no order or peace in his life.  He was capable of all sorts of horror and destruction often hurting himself in the process of trying to find relief.  Bloodletting, or cutting one’s self, is even practiced by desperate people today, as a self means of cleansing and regeneration, but not according to Truth of God’s Word and is void of any real power or purpose.

There are many hurting individuals who are operating according to the god of this world who need to hear the gospel message.  They will never find hope and peace in this world and for all eternity without having the Truth, mercy, supernatural power and grace of God.
