That Men May Realize Their Human Frailty
Psalm 9:19-20 (KJV) Arise, O LORD; let not man prevail: let the heathen be judged in thy sight. Put them in fear, O LORD: that the nations may know themselves to be but men. Selah.
David knew that God would indeed o what He says about judging any who choose to live as heathens rather than serving and savoring God. Even when it seems that evil and wickedness is prevailing on this earth in ancient times and today, God sees the condition of every person’s heart, whether it is spiritually dark or lighted with the presence of God.
The real problem with any person who sets himself up on a pedestal seeing no need to recognize or submit to God, is his dark soul and puffed-up pride-filled soul. An arrogant person does not rightly examine himself, nor does he acknowledge and revere God. A prideful person, or collectively a wicked nation, does not see human frailty nor recognize their need for the internal work of God’s perfect nature. Each soul must choose to view their state of the heart with God’s eternal vision rather than observing solely from a limited human standpoint on this earth.
Each person must recognize his or her own human spiritual frailty and their need for the power and presence of God to work and will in their life. Only then can God work in them.
