The Battle Is Real

Ephesians 6:12-13 (KJB) For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

This world is filled with many battles with a host of dark spiritual powers, principalities, and rulers aligned who are aligned with great wickedness and evil.  However, the good news is that God has given His own spiritual family access to everything they need to stand tall and triumphant when caught in the thick web of such brutal skirmishes.

In fact, the final battle has already been won by the finished spiritual work of Jesus Christ upon Calvary!

However, until the end of time, as we now know it, spiritually heated battles in this world will continue to rage on and on.

It is a sad fact is that many professing Christians fail to recognize their spiritual enemies, to be clad in protective gear, or to identify with God’s clear-cut battle plan readily found for our learning inside the pages of God’s Word.  A man cannot select to wear pieces and parts of God’s protective gear and assume he will be safe and sheltered or kept immune from having collateral damage.  God intends that each person don every piece of armor He has divinely provided and be secure inside the divine spiritual shell God has provided for our serving safety.  His armor is for our eternal spiritual protection.  Foot soldiers serving in God’s army in this world will face persecution and physical maladies just as Jesus Christ told us to count on as a child of God sojourns in this world (John 16:33.)

Certainly, a man or woman of God will face many spiritual battles as they sojourn in this dark and deadly world.  However, God has given His spiritual family all the power and protection necessary, from their head to their feet, to remain serving Him now and forevermore, according to His divine providence, will, and way.
