The Battle Is Spiritual
2 Corinthians 10:3-4 (KJV) For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds.
We often attempt to live in our flesh and skirmish with other people serving their flesh as they live in this world. How often is it that you see a father against a mother, a mother against a father, or a child against a parent, a sister against a brother, and so on? The family unit is in disrepair among many folks on this earth. Indeed, the family unit is being destroyed in many spiritually dilapidated homes.
However, God tells us that the battle is never with other souls. Did you know that being a part of such fights can be a stronghold in your life? It is easier to blame others and come up against another in your immediate vicinity than to deal with God and the spiritual issue of sin that He points out at work in your life. Ouch, that comment might sting a little.
A winning attack or strategy must include fellowship with God. When a person lives in agreement with God, their problems and battles can be perpetually worked out through God. However, when a person elects to try to do everything on his own, heated earthy scuffles are the primary way a lost or wayward heart chooses to face his troubles and trials without ever solving any problems.
No person can afford to go around God to solve warfare battles. We must go through Christ because that is the only path for safeguarding our relationship with Christ and others. All other methods working in this world fail to include Christ and ultimately cannot solve any relationship issues for the long term.
