The Beauty of Holiness
1 Chronicles 16:27-30 (KJB) Glory and honour are in his presence; strength and gladness are in his place. 28 Give unto the LORD, ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength. 29 Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. 30 Fear before him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved.
God perfectly fulfills the divine definition of glory and honor. He is the ultimate model of spiritual beauty. Our viewpoint from this side of heaven does not even come close to observing the entire majesty and beauty of God.
We will be overwhelmed by His natural illuminating spiritual nature and attractiveness when we meet with Him face to face. A regenerated man on this earth can only see a foretaste of His true spiritual beauty and unfeigned holiness. Once a man is ushered into the eternal realm he will see God with all His righteousness and perfection and be awed in personal fellowship with Him for all eternity.
However, a lost man will also be ushered into the presence of God and judged for his unbelief. He too will be overcome with the mighty presence and power of God, but because he chose not to fear Him while he was alive on this earth, God will separate from him for all eternity and his fear and eternal agony will never be satisfied.
A man should seek to fear the Lord and revel in His perfect nature of holiness and beauty as he sojourns on this earth. It is sad fact that many people will be first awed when meeting Him in the eternal realm and then be judged and cast away for all eternity.
