The Elephant in the Room
Romans 8:1 (KJB) There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
So many people cannot seem to move beyond the condemnation of sin at work in this world. It is like the elephant in the room so to speak. The devil especially likes to linger near newly saved hearts for creating a spiritual rouse for serving repeated reminders about forgiven past sin to gullible hearts.
While such a hold concerning sin is naturally found at work in the life of every lost soul, it is not natural in the life of saved souls. Any person who has come to God through faith in the work of Christ no longer lives in condemnation of his past sin, no matter how much the devil tries to nag, for his sin has been forgiven and his soul has been cleansed and set free from the penalty of sin and death.
You see, the death of Jesus Christ upon Calvary broke the natural grip of the devil and death. Though a person’s heart is in right standing with God, sometimes, however, their mind can be a few steps behind in processing the work of the devil and in applying the supernatural power and presence of God.
The truth is that a child of God is no longer condemned but justified. The wrath of God is no longer weighing down like an elephant in the room with the certainty of death and eternal demise. It is true, the devil no longer can play havoc with their soul. The victory over death has been won and every sanctified soul has unfettered liberty with God.
