The Green Pasture or the Manure Pit
Psalm 23:2 (KJB) He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
God cares for mankind’s every need. Both physical and spiritual needs. God did not usher in the possibility of salvation so that man can ruin and rot but he made salvation possible so whosoever believes through faith can be spiritually refreshed and robust despite the condition of his immediate circumstances.
God always leads the regenerated man to rest in a green pasture. God fuels the traveling process in the regenerated man with His supernatural love, grace, and mercy. However, man is often his own worst enemy. Man often allows himself to be enticed and led away from the very best land God has given to him to end up instead suffering in a dry desert or manure pit found in the valleys of life.
God often makes wayward spiritual men wait patiently in adverse circumstances for the working of His perfect will and timing. Professing Christians can be found crying and cowering miserably or prayerfully patient when found in an arid desert of his own choosing. God may allow mankind to dog paddle in the midst of a storm raging about him for a season before clearly revealing a new direction and correction.
