The Lord Opened the Eye of The Servant

2 Kings 6:15-17 (KJB) And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do? 16 And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. 17 And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.

Any person can start fresh at any time, especially with the arrival of a new year.  A fresh start can include a different view of God and the evil at work in this world.  Through faith and prayer God can change a lost, hopeless, and helpless natural perspective to one of eternal triumph and great spiritual victory in sweet fellowship with God.

God can take any troubling situation and make it into something mete for displaying His honor and glory pointing exclusively to Him rather than mankind.

Elisha prayed for God to open the spiritual eyes of a troubled and anxious servant in these verses so that this man could see his circumstances with a fresh spiritual vision.  Prior to his prayer, this troubled servant could only view his problems and the great potential for trouble looming on the horizon in front of him through his natural vision.

God divinely changed the faulty natural perspective of this man from observing a host of problems to seeing hope from God’s presence and supernatural power at work in his situation.  God enabled him to see the presence of divinely placed horses and chariots gathered on the mountain rather than solely relying upon his natural vision seeing just a tense buildup of his own sticky situations about ready to blow up about him!

God can give any spiritually humble person a new insight made possible through faith.  His vision is much better than a lost person looking at only difficulties, repeated hitches, and experiencing a constant nagging defeat in this world.

Are you entering this new year with a host of hitches and problems weighing you down at your every turn and step?  God can take any problem and turn it into an eternal spiritual victory according to His supernatural power and will.  Pray for open spiritual eyes and His presence and power at work in your quickened alive heart.
