The Natural Man Will Always Break the Law

But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully; Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine; (1 Timothy 1:8-10 KJV)

Rules and regulations are constantly being applied to mankind in this world with the purpose of changing and containing him into conformity and bringing about consequences for their errant behavior as measured against the strictness of the law.  The direction of many minor “would be criminals” in this world are sidetracked, at least for a time, with the employment of both social programs and statutory laws purposely created for dealing with attitudes and works of rebellion coming against a ruling authority.

Diversions are at best a “socially enacted fence” raised against man who has a natural bent or predisposition to act out in against authority.  Many will choose to “jump” this initial fence to commit crimes of a grander nature requiring even more severe penalties and application of additional laws to be imposed for more effective control as actions warrant greater modification of evil intent and behavior.  Many people today, by choice, reside within the confines of the socially uncontrollable rebellious camp which is their home in this ever darkening world.

Others choose to harbor a predisposition towards criminal intent but are successfully “socially reengineered” or redirected to make changes in their personal bent or habit and regulated through social programs or “pharmaceutically incarceration” which is a socially acceptable use of mind control through use of legal drugs. These same individuals are jailed as necessary when these forms of socially acceptable interventions fail to reform their action and disposition for the long term.

The development of more stringent laws, consequences, and programs are necessary for any who chooses to persistently commit crimes not containable in set standards at work in this world.  A more stringent “corporal fence” is continually being constructed to contain those deemed or graded (by the world’s curve) to possess a dangerous bent towards committing greater and more horrendous crimes.  Laws in this world range from general calmness and peaceful control to modification, and finally for containment of mankind.  Laws are made to enforce a conformity to a set and expected standard in this world.  Laws are broken by the natural bent of mankind to gravitate towards evil according to his own unregenerate dark nature.

Laws of man exist at one end of the spectrum while the freedom of God has always existed at the opposing end of the equation.  God gave the law in the Old Testament to show mankind his need for His holiness and righteousness, rather than his own natural evil and darkness.

A personal relationship with God, on the other hand, releases mankind from the need to practice being “good” and adhering to the law and obedience through his own action.  It aligns mankind with reliance upon the supernatural power of God which ushers in His goodness and righteousness through the dwelling of the fruit of His Spirit in the heart of regenerated mankind.

Mankind exists in his own human weakness like a wild animal outside the fence.  Reflect upon the unruliness and evil in the heart of the man of Gadara (Mark 5:1-20).  His evil worked its way outward through the power of demons bringing evil actions towards himself and others.

Man can only find authentic spiritual success by meeting the law through the work of the supernatural power of God quickened alive in his heart.  Only a personal relationship with God can meet and exceed law.  Only God can bring about a supernatural conformity to the law through the entrance of His will and way operating through faith in the heart of mankind.

The Bible tells us Jesus Christ came to this earth as a man (and God) fulfill the law perfectly (Matthew 5:17-20).  God fulfilled the law through the shed blood on the cross at Calvary.

takeupyourcrossredocmclearThe Old Testament law was created with the spiritual purpose of showing all mankind his personal need for the holiness of God.  The law of God was not for ushering in perfect obedience.

The social and criminal parameters in this world will never be satisfied through obedience to laws because the natural man will always rise against laws and gravitate towards his natural bent for evil and wickedness.
