The New Millennial Kingdom
Isaiah 11:6 (KJB) The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.
This verse mentions a few situations which seem impossible from our earthly viewpoint. However, God inspired this verse be recorded to describe how relationships will be in the coming millennial kingdom.
This new spiritual atmosphere will affect both lives of man and creatures.
First, a wolf dwelling with a lamb would not seem a likely outcome for today wolves generally desire to chase and eat a lamb.
Secondly, a leopard is a ferocious animal that would not lie down anywhere near a goat and a calf. He would desire to chase after them for making a delicious meal of them the minute he caught them.
Third, a calf would be found nowhere near a growling and vicious lion.
Lastly, no child, with parents in their right mind, would be leading any of these animals for they also could easily become the next meal of a hungry wolf, a leopard, or a lion.
The details of the millennial kingdom to come are not all apparent for man today. However, there seems to be great changes coming for both men and animals. Only God knows the timing and precise details.
The prophet Isaiah was inspired of God to prophesize about the new millennial kingdom. In our human estimation, it is hard to imagine such prominent and apparent differences, from that which we are familiar with today. Perhaps both figuratively and literally, change is to be revealed for both man and creatures to come.
