The Presence of God Colors Your Life
Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus. (Acts 4:13 KJV)
Christians you better believe that the world is watching you. People who are aligned with the spiritual army of the god of this world peer sharply at a Christian’s life through the lenses of sin stained glasses. Anyone who desires to do the will of God in their life and their propensity to make godly bold choices are seen as ignorant fools who waste their lives on some “man” called Jesus.
However, it is important to note even if people in this world do not believe in the gospel message that they have opportunities see God working in your life. It is a billboard message they may ponder for a moment, then choose to stifle or bury it, moving quickly onto more exciting pleasures this world has to offer.
This verse is a prime example of the power and presence of God working both inwardly and outwardly in the lives of both Peter and John. They were emboldened spiritually, however, often the world sees His supernatural presence as a display of craziness and folly.
Lost men cannot deny the presence of God working in the lives of His disciples but they can choose to suppress or ignore Him by not inviting His presence into their own lives by temporarily appeasing their wounded conscious with the false hope and security readily available in this world.
