The Principal of Separation
2 Thessalonians 3:14-15 (KJB) And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed. 15 Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.
Paul had just laid out some principles for the believers of the Thessalonian church to adopt in their lives. Tucked onto the end of these shared values, Paul adds the concept of separation, often a challenging truth for Christians to embrace, though it is simple.
Sadly, many people can often accept ethical values, manners, and morality. However, when understanding the presence and power of sin and biblical-based separation. Numerous people fail to comprehend the necessity of division from an unrepentant sinner and aligning with God.
I hope you understand that It does not benefit anyone to simply “add” God to the current format of one’s world. A sincere professing believer will understand the need to separate from this world and to part from sin. Only then can a person enjoy sweet eternal fellowship with God.
Separation from sin is essential for every sincere child of God. Parting company with professing believer’s who choose to repeat and relish the presence of sin is also crucial. Fellowship with God is not possible among the accumulation of sin and wickedness. Sadly, many souls struggle to depart from iniquity and to cozy up with God.
