The Sobering Truth About God’s Judgement

Colossians 3:25 (KJB) But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.

This statement of truth should make you stop and contemplate about the certainty of the coming judgment of God.  There is no person in this world who will be exempt from the judgment of God. It is clearly recorded that every person who does wrong will receive a wrong for each thing that he has done.  Likewise, you can deduct that every person who has done right in God’s eyes will receive rewards and crowns of righteousness from Him in eternity.

However, please take note that this Bible verse does not say:

*Every man who does wrong will receive a pat on the hand for this accumulation of wrongs.

*Each person who chooses to do wrong will receive counseling and advice about doing wrong and be sent back out into this world to live as he sees fit.

*Or be handed prescription drugs for reducing his anxiety and for medicinally treating his propensity to sin.

*Or, hear do whatever you want, God loves you and will never hurt you or judge you.  He is a God of love and peace.

No!  God loves each person so much that He desires for every man to judge himself as measured against His perfect eternal standard revealed for us in His Word.  Judging one’s own heart against what God has revealed in His Word is the only eternal prevention rather than facing God’s certain wrath and judgment of sin.

However, for anyone not choosing to judge themselves according to God’s eternal plumb line, he or she will certainly face both His wrath and judgment upon their physical death without respect to any person.

God has set in stone His eternal standard.  He expects each person to measure his or her heart against it.  Every person will fall way short and must allow God to exchange his wrongs for His great mercy and grace.  Otherwise, every person choosing to neglect this truth will face the certain wrath of God upon physical death.
