December 25th, 2019, we hope you have a blessed Christmas Day
The Stars and Angels Gave Signs
Luke 2:33-35 (KJB) And Joseph and his mother marvelled at those things which were spoken of him. 34 And Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against; 35 (Yea, a sword shall pierce through thy own soul also,) that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.
Mary and Joseph awed at hearing these words given to them by Simeon. He was speaking about signs and wonders, and then baby Jesus was blessed by Simeon. Simeon provided a prophecy concerning the nation of Israel involving this babe who is also Jesus Christ in the flesh. Though this revelation was not understood on this particular day when given by Simeon, this revelation was at work in hearts.
We know, from both secular world history and the inspired ancient biblical accounts of Calvary, what Simeon prophesied did come to pass. God blessed this world with an infant and a future King, Jesus Christ, and God blessed His parents with a supernaturally conceived newborn, a son, and a ruler who now resides at the right hand of God. The future return of Jesus Christ will further fulfill this ancient prophecy.
Evil King Herod Wanted to Kill and rid this earth of this newborn King because this earthly king had evil at work in his heart and threatened because of the birth of a future King into this world. Though Jesus was just an infant, Herod decreed to his henchmen that every male under the age of two they were to slay. This killing spree would certainly rid the earth of baby Jesus, or so the King reasoned with his darkened mind.
Yes, God gave Jesus Christ to this world as an infant in the flesh along with a divine plan for the future; including signs and wonders and future potential including the potential for salvation in every soul who desires eternal respite from sin and death. Right from the moment of His birth, Herod’s evil intentions hatched for the sole purpose of ridding this world of Jesus Christ.
However, God sent His Only Son to be the Savior of the world. Jesus Christ, whether He be an infant or a returning King, cannot ever be stopped by the evil intentions of any man, including King Herod. God preserves Him, protects Him, and guides Him and His family to flee to Egypt for a safe stay. God then matured Jesus, sent Him out preaching to crowds, and finally provided Him as a shed blood sacrifice. God sent Him as an infant, provided Him as a once-for-all shed-blood sacrifice, and raised Him from the grave as The Savior of the world filled with grace and peace.
Jesus Christ will return to this earth as King to save His spiritual family and to reign for all time.
Evil never triumphs for God, His Spirit, and His Son, the greatest gift ever; is forever holy, wise, and is greater than any evil intentions at work in this world. The goodness, grace, and mercy of God will rule and reign forever. This timeless and bright and shining truth was declared in the sky to many witnesses the very moment of His earthly birth into this world.
