The Truth is Not for Sale

Proverbs 23:23 (KJB) Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.

We should seek God and fill our hearts and mind with His truths.  For a man or woman, there is not ever any personal cost too large for obtaining His Truth. It is an asset for living, both now and for all eternity.  It is readily available for any person who has a softened heart towards things of God.

For the sincere professing child of God, the truth has both a high value and cost of receiving it. A man or woman of God must choose to give up things of this world for making room in their hearts to savor and store God’s precious truths.  The Truth is a prized possession which remains at work inside the heart of a child of God forever.

A natural man does not naturally seek the truths of God for he sees no lasting value in possessing it.  It is a sad fact that the lies of the devil are widely offered, sought after, and accepted in this world.  Satan’s lies are cheap, easily obtainable, and without any immediate cost.  This seems wonderful for any person having little, or no, spiritual discernment at work in their life.  However, any person who chooses to cozy up with the god of this world, rather than aligning himself with Truth of God, will bring upon himself great spiritual cost in the eternal realm paying a horrific spiritual price by residing in confines of hell forevermore.

Aligning oneself with Satan certainly has a horrible eternal cost, often not apparent in the beginning of such a wicked journey.  Choosing this pathway is an eternally pricey that a man can never pay for himself, leading to desperation and eternal spiritual death.

However, the real value of Truth, not in selling it but for treasuring it and in sharing it with others extends way beyond it being a spiritual filler for regenerated souls.  The Truth never diminishes or loses value.  In fact, it supernaturally rises above all other things of this world and ever increases in value and brings eternal blessings which last forever.  Having it includes having the wisdom of God, His instruction, and a spiritual understanding that deepens daily and lasts forever.

Did you know that the Truth is Jesus Christ (John 1:1-3)?

The Truth is who Jesus Christ is, what He says and what He does. It is His supernatural spiritual essence, and nothing can ever separate God from Truth.  The Truth is eternally valuable, has a cost associated with it, and it cannot be purchased in a convenience store.  In fact, having it may seem naturally inconvenient at first glance for it can only be found in one pathway: John 14:6 clearly tells us that Jesus is the ONLY WAY: “…Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me…”
