Translated Directly Into Heaven
Hebrews 11:5 (KJB) By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
This scripture verse speaks of an ancient event that is hard for a man today to “wrap his head around.”
“Enoch was translated that he should not see death…” Translated, what exactly does this mean? And it whatever it is, it happened through faith?
This passage might seem spiritually puzzling to you. It is speaking of something that neither you or I can directly relate to because this kind of event has not ever happened to us or to anyone we are personally acquainted with.
In fact, this has only happened in ancient biblical times, never in modern times like we live in today.
Perhaps to understand it best, simply read this passage replacing the word “translated” with the word “transferred”.
God was pleased with Enoch and transferred him to the heavenly realm without him facing his own physical death. God bypassed his death. Just how did this spiritual supernatural event happen? The Bible tells us it took place through the fuel of faith.
In fact, this event and Enoch are listed in the Faith Hall of Fame as found in the eleventh chapter of the book of Hebrews exactly where this verse is found.
Enoch was translated to heaven by God through the fuel of faith. Enoch believed in God through his testimony and God raised him up into the eternal realm. Perhaps Enoch will be involved in God’s Work at the end of these times in which we live?
