Trust God Not Government
Psalm 20:7 (KJB) Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.
Sadly, there is a lot of misplaced trusts found resting in other people, things of this world, and found in relying upon the laurels and losses of government. Not one thing, whether it be other people, military forces, or any sort of government leadership on earth will last nor bring lasting victory. The truth is that people let us down, things fade and rust away, wars are won and lost, and any earthly government can list with the blowing of a contrary wind.
Remember God, this verse offers solid biblical direction for us to heed in the recesses of the mind and in the bowels of our being. You see, remembering God is important. God can always be trusted to direct us and give us what is best for our life all for bringing Him honor and glory. He will never fumble or fold with any unexpected advances and tricks of the enemy working diligently in this world.
Chariots and horses may seem valorous objects for placing faith in but any person who places trust in such things will soon be bracing for a meltdown or a letdown. Remember God and trusting in Him is a wise and valuable eternal decision.
Placing trust in God is an eternal choice, far reaching beyond the confines of this earth. It is a gift that keeps giving forever. God not only has our best interests at heart on this earth, but for all eternity. Placing trust in anything of this world is fickle but remembering God in faith will secure every detail of your future.
