Trusting God Eliminates Fear
Psalm 56:3 (KJV) What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.
This scripture is a concise but straightforward verse with a lot of faith-filled substance for us to chew on and digest. The truth is that placing trust in God eliminates fear. God created humanity to serve and savor Him, and to stand in the right position with Him leaves room for the working of God through hope and faith.
However, the other side of the coin is that choosing to live in fear destroys faith in God and interrupts a person’s ability to fulfill God’s will for their life. Fear causes us to stop and to take account of our position and the perimeter around us. Hope instills faith in the power and presence of God working in us and through us to bring about God’s will.
Please note that God does not tell us there will never be times we feel afraid. However, God does tell us in numerous scripture verses that our fears will soon subside as we spiritually mature and place greater trust in Him.
