Isaiah 10:1 (KJB) Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed.
In context, this verse is speaking of the leadership of Judah. This ancient corrupt government inhabited by many sinful people issued decrees and edicts that were burdensome and far removed from God.
Though this verse is describing these ancient times a remnant of the Jewish people faced, it certainly can be applied to the modern times in which we live in today. Yes, many of our leaders are corrupt and looking out for themselves rather than the good of the people they are to represent. Additionally, they work to pass laws and regulations that further their own agenda rather than what will best suit and benefit their people of the land.
Any person who is familiar with the outcome of this kind of leadership throughout history from ancient times unto the nearer history of our day realizes that nothing good will come of such evil leaders left to prescribe their own ideas and corrupt solutions in this world.
Don’t forget, God sees and knows the heart condition of every person. Even better, through His Only Son Jesus Christ has already secured the final battle against all evil. Wicked rulers may seem to be winning today but God has already won the final battle.
