What Will Come of The Disobedient?
1 Peter 4:17 (KJB) For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
Any person who is familiar with the Word of God can easily answer this question of what will happen to disobedient hearts. It is no surprise. God has made the consequences of disregarding Him very clear.
What often remains spiritually murky is separating genuine disciples from “spiritual wannabees.” Those who will receive eternal rewards and perpetual communion with God from those who without fellowship with God both now and forever.
Why is this distinction of softened hearts naturally choosing to serve God so hard to discern from wicked leaning hearts? Because righteous judgment has not taken place inside many professing souls. It is too easy today to sit in a church pew, hear a message about God, and fail to apply the truths.
God clearly has recorded that proper judgment and discernment begin within the church, or in the hearts of genuine Christians. Obeying God should always come naturally to a professing child of God; however, we live in a time when few hearts are willing to live a “sold-out life” for God.
It does not matter if a person with lost heart attends church, hears the gospel message, and professes to serve God; if he fails to apply the presence and power of God to work and will inside his heart.
Every lost heart freely standing in disobedience to God will reap eternal judgment and every saved person rightly judged against the holy and righteous standard of God will enjoy eternal mercy and grace. Sowing and reaping always have an expected result and the disobedient person will die in his sin.
