Why Worry and Fret?
Matthew 6:28-29 (KJV) And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
What an important question we can each ask ourselves. Why do we follow rabbit holes and dead end paths covered in worry with frustrations and concerns that may or may not happen. The truth is no person knows what needs will arise today, let alone tomorrow, or lie in wait on the horizon of tomorrow.
Realizing this poignant truth allows a person to place trust in the power and presence of God for our every necessity, and to remain calm about any circumstance lerking right around the corner. God encourages to live in His providence today and to trust Him for our needs of tomorrow. By the way, doing so does not mean we are to rest and seek inactive status in our service for God- but quite the opposite. God expects His sincere spiritual family desires to serve and savor Him amid any state of affairs while trusting Him to meet any needs in their future.
Do not persist in fretting about tomorrow, God is already there and has everything lined up to meet our every need. In fact, He will not only meet us in our need but exceed in His providence to array us beautifully in His mercy and grace.
