Will You Be Found Naked or Richly Clothed?
For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. (2 Corinthians 5:2-3 KJV)
Paul is speaking in these two verses in Second Corinthians about the human body of flesh. All mankind who are born on this earth inhabit this tent of flesh. Paul compares it to against the heavenly spiritual body awaiting all who are quickened alive in the eternal realm.
One body consists of human flesh and the other is of the Spiritual nature of God.
Man innately desires to reside in God’s perfect spiritual nature, both on this earth and in the eternal realm. This inner heart desire cannot be alleviated any other way than for man to personally know Jesus Christ as Savior, thereby possessing a spiritual relationship with Him as he sojourns or abodes on this earth. The earnest heart-felt desire of all mankind is to dwell in eternity clothed in God’s rich mercy and grace.
However, only those who have been quickened alive spiritually while living on this earth will abode with God forever in the eternal realm. The rest of mankind is desperately lost and spiritually lacking, and found naked before the upright eyes of God, both upon this earth and in eternity to come.
