Proverbs 11:30 (KJV) The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.
The wisdom at work in this world differs from the lasting knowledge of God. What is held as important in the “here and now” pales in comparison to what God declares essential. God tells us here in this scripture that witnessing to others and in effect the winning of souls as God works in softened hearts is a crucial service in the lives of regenerated souls as they sojourn in this world.
Here in this verse the wisdom of God at wok in the life of a child of God is illustrated as fruit and a tree is used to signify life (and I always picture huge sturdy trees as found growing in Northern California). God uses the analogy of trees in many verses in His Word to illustrate life and fruit as the harvest that takes place in the lives of godly souls.
Take care that you make your life on this earth count by pleasing God in sharing His gospel message to lost hearts. Sowing seeds of His gospel message is right and smart and worthy of rewards in eternity.
