YES, GOD! A Selfless Example
Matthew 26:39 (KJB) And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
Oh, how often do we say a big NO to God?
NO God, I want it my way!
Sadly, many people who profess a personal relationship with God inwardly desire to serve a god of their own making. They expect to have special access to God like a drive-up window service. A place where they can express a personal order reflecting own needs and desires.
They expect God to operate like a “spiritual genie” in a bottle. Instantly granting their every whim, desire, and to certainly fulfill all their needs, especially demands of a financial nature.
Jesus Christ left us with a selfless example by setting Himself aside for fulfilling the demands and needs of His Father God. Jesus Christ exemplified a “YES GOD” heart attitude despite any circumstances or condition he faced. His life was all about God and nothing to do with Himself.
Jesus Christ desired to fulfill the will of His Father even unto His own physical death. Sadly, many today fulfill their own desires placing God’s divine will for their life on the back burner of life.
