You Cannot Walk Through a Closed Door
John 10:7 (KJB) Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.
The door of the sheep is God’s door for the salvation of lost souls. It is a wide open gate for any man who shall choose to place his personal faith in the power and presence of God. However, as wide open it is, it is spiritually shuttered to any person who chooses to ignore it, or fails to apply personal faith in salvation work of God upon Calvary in this age of grace.
This doorway is exclusively for those with a spiritually softened heart.
Every man must enter a personal relationship with God through this same door. A man cannot enter inside the sheep gate of God via his or her parents, preacher, or spouse. Salvation is available for all mankind, no matter their station in life through faith.
The ancient biblical application of this verse was to both Jewish believers and the Gentile believers. Since the finished work of Calvary, the gospel message is available to all mankind. Everyone who is willing is able to go through this same opened wide salvation door unto an eternal personal relationship with God.
The salvation door is no longer an exclusive open door especially for the Jewish people, though they were the chosen of God and were led to the Promised Land, salvation is available to both Jews and Gentiles.
